The Department offers Bachelor (B.Tech) degree, Postgraduate Diplomas (PGD), Master degrees, M.Phil and Ph.D degrees in various specializations in the domain of Information Systems.

• Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) (100 Level)

The minimum requirements for admission to courses leading to B.Tech Degree in Information Systems are those for entry into the Faculty of Computing and Informatics (FCI). The University stipulates that candidates are required to have a minimum of Credits in Five (5) subjects at the SSCE or WASC  or NECO or GCE O’Level. The Admission requirements are as follows:

1. UTME Subjects must include English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any one of Chemistry, Biology, Agricultural Science, Economics or Geography.
2. Five Credit Passes at not more than Two sittings which must include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, and any two of Chemistry, Biology or Agricultural Science, Economics, Geography at Senior                 School Certificate or its equivalent. 

• Direct Entry Candidates (200 Level)

Candidates must possess the following requirements:

1. Five (5) Credit Pass at not more than TWO sittings which must include  English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any two of Chemistry,  Biology or Agricultural Science, Economics, or Geography at Senior School Certificate
2. Two A’ Level Subjects including Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry with a Minimum of Credit Passes
3. At Least Upper Credit Pass in National Diploma (ND) in Computer Science from a recognized Polytechnic or its equivalent.
4. National Certificate of Education (NCE) with at least Pass both in Computer Science / Mathematics; Computer Science / Physics or Mathematics / Physics. 

Note: This medium is also used to clarify, as expected of a typical University of Technology that our undergraduate Programme (B.Tech. Information Systems) is expected to run for five (5) years and Not four (4) years.
