Department of Information Systems in the Faculty of Computing and Informatics is one of the newly approved and established departments in the Institution. The department took off in the Harmattan Semester of the 2019/2020 academic session.

The Faculty of Computing and Informatics came into existence just before the commencement of the Harmattan Semester of 2019/2020 academic session in 2019.

 

The Department is parading more than twenty (20) astute scholars and relevant professionals who are poised to provide home-grown, real-time and research-based solutions to the myriad problems encountered in computing and related fields. 

 

Our offering includes Bachelor degree, Postgraduate Diplomas (PGD), Master degrees, MPhil and PhD degrees in various specializations in the domain of Information Systems.

 

It is pertinent to also mention that The Department is geared towards building up sustainable national capacity in ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) through innovative, dynamic, responsive and effective education and training with up-to-date curriculum and, modern and advanced technology.
